2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra

There is good news for pickup truck lovers. General Motors has released its latest pickup trucks for 2014. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and the 2014 GMC Sierra are expected to be a hit among lovers of this type of vehicle.

The alpha-numeric project number for these two vehicles is yet to be made public, but many people will patiently wait. The 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and the 2014 GMC Sierra trucks will be replacing the GMT900 series in the coming year. The GMT900 Series had been around since 2007 when it replaced the GMT800. The popularity of this series has led to this new and more modern model being developed. The restyling can be described as conservative, but there is still a very visible difference between the Silverado and the Sierra.

The cab’s rigidity has been increased by the use of steel that is high-strength and hydroformed. This helps to lighten the frame and give it a modern finish with equally attractive bakkie canopies. The vehicles will be available with three engines which are all new. The 2014 Sierra and Silverado will have the EcoTec3 engines installed in them. The V-6 will have a capacity of 4.3 liters and the V-8 will have a capacity of 6.2 liters of fuel. In addition to this, other features of the engines will include variable valve-timing, aluminum block and head architecture and direct injection. An added bonus is the Active Fuel Management feature that will be useful for V-4 engines that are being driven on lighter roads. This will go a long way towards conserving fuel. The 2014 Sierra and Silverado pickup vehicles can be further beautified with the installment of canopies. Kango canopies are available for lovers of pickups to accessorize their vehicles and give them a lovely finish.

These vehicles are tipped to become one of the most popular in the field as they promise to perform well on tough roads and to be very economical with regards to fuel consumption. General ownership costs are also tipped to be lower than those of other vehicles in the same class as the 2014 Sierra and the 2014 Silverado.
